Neat Skype Status v2

This is AJAX plugin for wordpress that displays multiple custom skype buttons on your website (floating / post / page / widget / shortcode / theme). It has some unseen features.

Better fit your website design! Use your own images for skype icons (and official ones too). Customize skype widget style with background transparency, have a floating skype button or integrate it into post/page using shortcode. You can also use plain text instead of images.
Link multiple skype accounts and/or people! Skype Button that changes automatically to display status for skype contact who is found online. This is useful if you have multiple people that visitors can contact. Plugin also compares the skype statuses of people who are found online and directs the traffic to the least busiest skype app.
Make it dynamic! All status icons updates without page reload. This can be used on websites with infrequent page refresh (usually based on AJAX, Flash, Java-aplet like websites for games, stock exchange, gamble, betting etc.)
Change how you want to be contacted from skype! You can choose an option to dynamically change the action of skype button according to your skype status (Call if Online, Chat if Busy, Leave voicemail if offline etc.)

Other features:

Custom style for widget or skype icons, there are no limits to how you could make it look. There are number of predefined styles and themes you can use out of the box (including this floating widget).
Useful settings for geeks:
1. Choose time interval between status update requests – to better fit your needs, you can also disable it.
2. Choose whether to check skype status on page load – the page loads a little faster without check (official skype button always checks on load).

Hi, the Pro version somehow interferes with my CSS. The default fontsize in tables becomes much bigger suddenly. Where do I have to look in your CSS files to find the problem? Couldn’t find out why the font size is changed.

  I think you can increase customer service with the option of linking multiple accounts into single skype button. Then you can also instruct your people to change their status as they get busy – and using „Map to status“ option people who are less busy will get the call..
  
  In this way you can use the time your employees ar not busy for answering to customers (without having to hire someone for that task separately)

  v1 will always remain single skype account plugin for people who only need one skype button working
  
  v2 is a different branch for additional functionality:
  1. People with multiple accounts or organizations with multiple people serving customers (they can all be linked to one skype button)
  2. People who want to manage how people contact them (chat, call, send file etc.) directly from their skype application (by changing their skype status)
  3. Have custom style requirements (I provided some themes for v2, and I can also work on helping you set up new one)
  4. Computer geeks:)
  
  v2 is more complicated to maintain and support so I take donations for it and use the money to develop social projects that I am volunteering in..
  
  v1 and v2 are technically separate plugins now, you can install both of them and they should work together (although I don’t recommend this). I develop and support both versions separately.

Hello,

I loaded a page that has the [skype-status] code to the skype id fixxi.net, the page is here http://helpcenter.fixxi.net/home-page

My Fixxi.net id was online but it was showing offiline on the page. Only after I switched back and forth to different states: away and then back to online, then skype status was updated correctly to online on the page.

Why wasn’t the status correctly displayed on first loading of the page ?

  This is because of skype servers. For my plugin there is no other way of knowing your status except for calling skype server at http://mystatus.skype.com/fixxi.net
  
  You can check with this url, if it’s lying the status, then so will plugin (and the official way of embedding skype button too).
  
  The good news is that my plugin has caching system which will show the last known status if skype servers are lagging, unfortunately sometimes skype servers literally lie.

thing only this plugin can do. As far as I have used it everything
seems to be working with latest WordPress version as of now (3.4.1).

  Good question. You (or anybody else in the future) can send me an email to aurimas@mission.lt and request free trial. This is under a condition that if the plugin satisfies your needs – you make a donation that we agree upon beforehand. Therefore in the email provide the following info:
  1. Expectations. What do you expect the plugin to do? .. For ex. „I need to view my team members in a widget“ or „I have multiple skype accounts but I want to have only one skype button for all of them“
  2. The amount of donation you will make if it satisfies your needs. It can also be a range with reason for it (ex. „from 5 to 10 euros depending on how easy it is to set it up“)
  3. Your website and the final date you expect to finish testing.
  
  Then I will send you plugin v2 trial. If it satisfies your needs – you make the donation. If it does not satisfy your needs – provide info on how can I fix it. You will get the fix and you won’t have to make any donation:)

I found out inside of the plugin the „Instructions Manual“ that explained how to install and set up the plugin and now it’s working perfectly.
Just unzip the plugin and seach inside the PDF file called „NeatSkypeStatusv2.UserManual.“.
However things that are missing in the „User’s Manual“ is:
- How to use the „Click Action“ tab and it’s different functionalities.
- How to change the „Icon“ that goes with the shortcodes
- An email for support instead of posting it here
And for sure, it would be nice to have the PSD files for the images that goes with the icons.

Besides that, the V2 IS WORTH TO BUY!!!!!

I GOT A QUESTION: How can I have different Skype accounts and have all of them „On“ simultaneously since we can only open one Skype account at a time? I’d love to know since I want to offer different services using this plugin.

  You can open different skype accounts, just sign out of the old one and create new one (you can also do it on skype.com website).

Support from Aurimas is spot on! He was incredibly quick with responding to my questions about my installation problems. (I’m not even talking about hours. He responded within two minutes.)

Furthermore, it seems that he has really put in some effort to make this plugin work. My client’s WordPress installation is running on a Windows server. The plugin was tested on that too. And it seems to be working just fine!

    What I was thinking was that I would like to have the large button in a sidebar or other static area on the site, but be able to include a smaller button or text-only link elsewhere. (Using the big button in a paragraph of text breaks the formatting of the paragraph.)

Aurimas was very fast (1 hour) to respond. As it turnt out all I had to do was turn on my OTHER Skype account so that I could make the call as you can’t call yourself. I know, I’m a dildo. All in All the PRO version is well worth the price 5 Starbucks coffees
